Life is a Breath.
Breathe in, breathe out.
It starts with inspiration and ends with expiration:
Take things in, breathing in, and let things out, breathing out.
Out with the old, the damaged, the unwanted,
and in with the hopes and promises of the new.
Trust the rhythm, there’s nothing more to it.
Except somewhere down the road we forget how:
We lose the rhythm, try to control the score and become all the more entangled in the messy, rushed world.
We find ourselves constantly out of breath because of everything we want to do, want to be, want to appear...
We shove our ability to trust and have faith in life, ourselves and others deep in our unconscious mind, thinking it will help protect us from life, from ourselves.
I had a vision of trust, faith, acceptance and humility, where tension and resistance are nothing but distant memories. I saw simple and minimal lines that long for freedom, soft sensual cuts charged with historical and cultural codes rimmed with handmade ornamentation.
I felt light and natural fabrics; some opaque, others translucent, raw, fine, plain ,and completely reconstructed and repurposed materials that merge all together, allowing room for breath, movement and self expression whilst still maintaining privacy and catering for intimacy.
I noticed light and airy colors, engorged with the luxury of simplicity and freshness of a warm summer day in the orient. I visualized women embracing the reality of their being, accepting to relinquish control and release the tension. Women breathing consciousness.
Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe and let it be.
